Danbury Veterans and Lawmakers Dedicate Armed Forces Reserve Center
On Friday State Representatives Dan Carter (R-2), David Scribner (R-107), Bob Godfrey (D-110) and Jan Giegler (R-138) joined Danbury veterans to dedicate the new Veterans Memorial Armed Forces Reserve Center on Wooster Heights Road. The memorial was unveiled in front of more than 100 people at the 96,000 square foot facility, which will be utilized by an estimated 600 Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers. The lawmakers met with members of the units that will be using the center, including the 411th Civil Affairs Battalion, the 2nd Battalion of the 417th Regiment, the Charlie Company of the 325th Military Intelligence Battalion, Detachment 1 of the 325th Transportation Company, the 102nd Infantry Company and the 142nd Medical Company.
