Danbury and New Milford residents promoted at Union Savings Bank

[Danbury, Conn., May 16, 2013] – Union Savings Bank President and CEO Fran Dattalo is pleased to announce the promotions of Barbara Chianese to assistant vice president, commercial services supervisor, Jenna Meyn to assistant vice president, loan servicing development and document retention manager, Rui Dantas to assistant vice president, loan servicing manager and Shelley Turian to assistant vice president, education and development support specialist. Chianese joined Union Savings Bank in 2001 as commercial and small business lending administrator. Her new responsibilities as assistant vice president include supervising the commercial services administrative staff, overseeing the department’s administrative workflow and providing commercial loan documentation training. Prior to joining Union Savings Bank, she was a commercial administrator for Fleet Bank in Fairfield County and administrator to the area manager of retail banking at Connecticut Bank and Trust. A resident of Danbury, Chianese graduated from the Danbury Business Institute with her certificate in Accounting. She has also completed a number of banking courses with the Center for Financial Training. She is a member of the City of Danbury’s Fair Rent Commission and is a volunteer at the Ridgefield Theater Barn. Meyn began her career at Union Savings Bank in 2009 as consumer loan servicing representative. She quickly advanced within the loan servicing department. First to loan operations specialist and then most recently as loan servicing development officer. In her current position as assistant vice president, development and document retention manager, she is responsible for development and training within the loan servicing department, supporting project and system enhancement initiatives, and managing subsidiary loan and investor reconciliation, document retention and financial and insurance tracking within loan servicing. A resident of New Milford, Meyn graduated magna cum laude with honors from Siena College and most recently received her diploma, with honors from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management, where she was named valedictorian. She is currently working towards her MBA at Post University. Dantas began at Union Savings Bank in 2010 as commercial loan servicing representative. He advanced to loan servicing officer prior to his current position. As assistant vice president, loan servicing manager, his responsibilities include managing the Commercial/Leasing loan servicing team, including personnel, system support and product management and customer service. He will also provide internal support to commercial officers and administration, special assets, and credit administration. A resident of Waterbury, Dantas is currently enrolled in the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and has completed a number of banking courses with the Center for Financial Training. Turian began her career with Union Savings Bank in 1999 as a customer service representative prior to moving to the Education and Development department as retail trainer. In her current position of assistant vice president, education and development support specialist, she is responsible for supporting and assisting the branches and other departments, and updating bank policies, procedures and manuals. A resident of New Milford, Turian received her Bachelor’s Degree from Western CT State University. She volunteers her time with the Salvation Army Auxiliary and Junior Achievement of Western CT.
