Atticus is One Handsome, Sweet Boy-Ask To Meet Him

Well, believe it or not, this very handsome DECLAWED guy was found standing in the middle of a local street.  As an animal lover she had to stop, pick him up and get him to her vet.  He was very emaciated and full of mats. He was given vaccines, had bloodwork run and after gaining a little weight he had a bath and a partial shaving.  His matted fur was very painful to him so combing them out was not an option.  So, if life wasn't already bad enough for this boy, he tested positive for FIV.

Atticus has been living in foster care for a few weeks now.  He still needs to gain some more weight, but he seems to be healthy.  He has been residing with a few other female cats without any issue.  With proper introduction and non aggressive cats, he would probably do fine with another cat.  Can't say for sure about dogs as we don't know how long he was trying to survive on his own and what he encountered.  Can't even say for sure if he was FIV positive before or after he "lost" his owner.  But clearly he had one as someone had him declawed.  Efforts to find said owner failed.

This guy needs a great home of his own.  We don't know how old he is.  He's a sweet guy, though not too keen on being brushed, a holdover from all those painful mats, but we're working with him on accepting brushing little by little.  He loves to sit on the window cat perch in the afternoon sun and would probably like to just "hang" out in a quiet household and become your new best buddy.
