Lovers of poetry and good conversation are invited to come, relax and savor the poetic narration of international and local authors at the intimate Danbury Palace Theatre on Wed., March 27 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This free event will feature readings by four poets whose adventurous biographies have inspired deeply human insights. It will also include an open mic, light refreshments and musical accompaniment by NVCC music majors, led by Professor Richard Gard.

“It delights me to bring this intellectually and emotionally humanizing program to this beautiful city,” said NVCC President Daisy Cocco De Filippis, Ph.D. “Though our primary mission is providing education and workforce opportunities to Danbury, at NVCC we believe that happiness and success is best cultivated through the human spirit. At Confluencia, we strive to connect the mind and the heart in a very powerful way.”
