Will U.S. Go to War with Iran? [Poll]

Tensions appear to be mounting between Iran and the U.S.

The New York Times is reporting Iran is treatening to shut the Strait of Hormuz to oil traffic if the U.S. imposes tough economic sanctions against Iran. The Times reports roughly one-fifth of the world's oil travels through the Straits.

Iran is reacting to President Obama's legislation designed to cut Iran's oil money as a way to get Iran out of the nuclear weapons business, the Times said.

The New York Times said Obama's goal is to cut Iran's income without raising the price of gasoline. Iran is about to begin 10 days of naval exercises in the Straits, its backyard. The U.S. Military operates in the region from land-based airfields and aircraft carriers.
