Danbury Public Schools, Western Connecticut State University, Cancel School Friday

Danbury officials waited until Thursday afternoon before pulling the plug on school Friday. It's off.

All the weather models didn't line up, but Danbury Public Schools and Western Connecticut State University saw enough to make a decision.

No school Friday.

Boughton said at noon it's too early to decide about closing school, but that decision is coming.

"You know how it is with these storms. It all depends on the track," Boughton said. Two models show Danbury getting hit with 14 to 18 inches of snow. If the storm heads east out to sea, 18 inches turns into two inches.

Boughton Tweeted out school is cancelled at about 4:16 Thursday.
