Two Charged in Knife Attack Outside C-Town

Danbury Police charged two men after a melee that spilled out of the El Milenio Club and ended up next door in C-Town's parking lot.

Danbury Police charged Eliezer Ruiz-Pacheco, 24, Balmforth Avenue, Danbury, with violation of probation and second degree assault, two charges arising from an outstanding warrant, after Ruiz-Pacheco and his brother Joesenier Ruiz-Pacheco, were involved in a knife fight at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday on North Street.

Police said the pair were part of a large crowd involved in a fight at El Milenio that spilled into the street. When police arrived, they found one stab victim down an embankment. He had been stabbed twice in the back and once in the neck. The second victim had already gone to Danbury Hospital. Both stabbing victims are listed in stable condition, according to Shift Commander Matt McNally.

Police said the two brothers fled the scene, running down Balmforth Avenue toward their apartment. Joesenier Ruiz-Pacheco climbed out a window when police arrived at their apartment, and he was caught by police on Holley Lane. He was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of threatening, breach of peace and interfering with a police officer.
