State Bond Commission approves $80 million bond for new arts school.
The State Bond Commission approved an $80 million bond to build a fine arts school at Western Connecticut State University's westside campus. Work on the building could start in the fall for an opening in 2014.
The 130,000-square-foot building will be used by the music, theater and arts departments, and the university has been working toward this fine arts school for years.
