Jobs Fair at Ethan Allen Inn

The state Department of Labor is hosting four more jobs fairs starting in March with the first at the Ethan Allen Inn on Lake Avenue Extension.

The Connecticut Department of Labor’s Career Fair series returns for its spring run and a 16th consecutive year of matching employers with potential employees with events scheduled at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury.

Others will follow at Manchester Community College, Rentschler Field in East Hartford, and the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell.
"We want to get the word out to every jobseeker and business in this state about our spring Connecticut Career Fair series so that they can write the down the dates in their calendars and make plans to participate,” said state Labor Commissioner Glenn Marshall. “Our Connecticut Career Fair series traditionally attracts hundreds of businesses each year. That’s because we deliver proven results, a fact that has since 1996 earned us an excellent reputation as the sponsor of this state's premiere recruiting events.”

According to Marshall, employers taking part in the spring Connecticut Career Fairs will have “an excellent opportunity to meet with and talk to a variety of potential candidates possessing professional, technical/high tech, administrative or production backgrounds and with experience ranging from entry to management level skills. Jobseekers will do well to bring along plenty of résumés and should plan on making the rounds of every exhibitors’ booth to talk about what they can bring to an employer.”

● The Danbury Career Fair will take place March 20 at the Ethan Allen Inn,
located at 21 Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury. Co‐sponsored by Cumulus Media, the City of Danbury and the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, it will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hotel’s ballroom.
