Three dilapidated apartment houses at the corner of Hospital Avenue and Osborne Street at Western Connecticut State University's student parking entrance are slated for demolition.

Danbury Landlord Joseph DaSilva, who owns three vacant and dilapidated apartment houses at the corner of Hospital Avenue and Osborne Street, tested the soil there Tuesday in anticipation of tearing down the old buildings and replacing them with one apartment building.

DaSilva said Tuesday's work was very much the beginning of the process, and he hasn't yet applied for the demolition permits or any of the building permits. He said more details of the project will be available once he starts any application processes with the city.
