Eviction Battle Over Renter's Chihuahua

The condominium rules say Jean Banks is not allowed to keep her Chihuahua.

A woman is fighting eviction by because of her three-pound Chihuahua.

An article in the Hartford Courant Friday said Jean Banks, 45, a resident of The Lions Condominum in Danbury, is facing eviction from her one-bedroom unit because of a rule against renters having pets.

However, the condominium rules allow owners to have pets. A legal aid lawyer helping Banks said that and the fact the dog alleviates the effects of depression and other disabilities Banks suffers from make it possible she might win the eviction case.
