Danbury Project Homeless Connect Scheduled for Dec. 14

This year's Danbury Project Homeless Connect will bring together dozens of social service agencies and non-profit organizations who to help homeless people receive medical and other care.

Danbury scheduled Project Homeless Connect for Dec. 14 at the Bill Williams Gymnasium on Osborne Street, the same location as last year, which drew 60 organizations and about 200 homeless people.

The project brings together services and the homeless who need those services, said Sue Zaborowski, of the city's social services department.

"Given the state of the economy, and the high rate of unemployment, a rising number of people are in need of simple basic needs and services and this year we anticipate participation by a minimum of 200 people, Zaborowski said in her prepared release.
