Danbury Police: Methamphetamine, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, DUI

Danbury Police charged a Great Plains Road man with carrying narcotics and meth at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. Police charged an Avalon Valley resident with driving under the influence.

Danbury Police charged Edmond Ampeloquio, 19, Great Plain Road, with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and possession of less than a quarter-ounce of marijuana at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday. Police released Ampeloquio on a $500 bond. Five hours later, Danbury Police charged Ampeloquio with breach of peace, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell. Ampeloquio was held on a $5,000 bond.

In an unrelated case, Danbury Police charged Mary Guinness, 41, with driving under the influence at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. Police held her on a $500 bond.

In an unrelated case, Danbury Police charged Juan Contreras, 29, Lake Avenue, with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault at about 11 a.m. Tuesday. Danbury Police later charged Contreras with first-degree threatening. Contreras was held on a $10,000 bond for the disorderly conduct and assault charge. He was held on a $25,000 bond for the threatening charge.
